Description
Enjoy a two-day carnival with rides, games and fair food for the whole family and the Pineapple Drop Block Party on Dec. 31 featuring live music and DJs on multiple stages, food and full bar concessions, and a New Year's countdown followed by a fireworks display over Sarasota Bay.
Event admission is free.
Unlimited ride wristbands, valid all day Monday and till 6pm on Tuesday, are $37 on site ($35 cash) till 5pm Tuesday while supplies last or online before 1pm Monday for $29, 2/$55 or 4/$99.
Ride tickets, valid anytime, are available at the carnival or discounted online before 1pm Monday for $45/50 tickets + 1 free ride. (Rides take 2 or more tickets each.)
Midway hours: 1-11pm Monday and 1pm - 1am Tuesday. Carnival guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult age 21+.

The 25th annual block party runs from 1pm - 1:30am and features Daniel B. Marshall (1pm), SRQ Beats (8:30pm), Gas House Gorillas (9pm) and more. The giant glowing pineapple drops at midnight at Lemon Avenue and Main Street. More block party details: DestinationDowntownSarasota.com
