Each year, The Anna Maria Island Art League hosts their Springfest Festival of Fine Arts and Fine Crafts. The Anna Maria Island Art League (www.islandartleague.org), a non-profit 501(c)(3) presents their 34th Annual Springfest Festival of Fine Art & Fine Crafts on March 19th and 20th, 2022 (10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), in Holmes Beach at the Holmes Beach City Hall Field, 5901 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach FL 34217. Admission is free. This festival is a combination of people, education, entertainment and food; where you can find amazing hand crafted items offered for sale by talented artists presenting original works of art in all media. “Springfest” brings artists and art lovers, from near and far, to this little barrier island. This is an outdoor event with food vendors offering BBQ, fish, crab, chicken, cheese melts, and more. A portion of their sales contributes support for Scholarships for children and adults at the Art League.
This family event features continuous live music on stage Saturday and a large food court offering a variety of food and beverages. A highlight of the festival is a gala raffle of art work donated by festival exhibitors. Proceeds benefit the Art League’s Scholarship Fund, which provides classes to children and adults. The raffle gives everyone a chance to collect great art for a small donation. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and winners need not be present to win. Activities include face painting. A work of art is donated by artists participating in the Springfest for a drawing. The Art League was founded in 1989 by a small group of artists and art lovers with a desire to bring art to the island community. The League offers a broad range of classes, including a scholarship program for children and adults.
