Description
On Friday, November 28th leave your turkey haze and Black Friday shopping behind and join us for an intimate evening with folksinger, storyteller and outstanding guitarist Jack Williams at the Building Bridges Coffeehouse in downtown Bradenton, FL.
Williams performs at 7:00 pm at the Building Bridges Coffeehouse at Manatee UU Fellowship. Credit cards accepted. Plenty of parking and accessible. Doors open at 6:30.
Jack Williams’ music is rooted in his native South Carolina and is shaped by a 65-year career playing folk, rock, jazz, R&B, classical and popular music from the 1930s – 50s. According to his website, “Jack is considered an uncommonly unique guitarist, a writer of vivid songs with a strong sense of place, and a storyteller in the old Southern tradition as he further illustrates each tale with his guitar.”
As a hired-gun guitarist in the Deep South of the Civil Rights-Easy Rider 1960’s, Jack’s bands accompanied the likes of John Lee Hooker, Big Joe Turner, Jerry Butler, Hank Ballard, the Shirelles, and the Del-Vikings. Williams’ music, enriched from these varied influences, is a truly All-American Southern music. Learn more at www.JackWilliamsMusic.com.
