Description
Registration is open now for the 1st Annual Sunshine Music Camp - An event offering musical instruction and jams for all ages – concluding with an evening instructors’ concert.
A day and a half of musical instruction, jams and an instructors’ concert highlight this new event in Bradenton, Manatee County on Friday, September 26 - Saturday, Sept 27 at Manatee Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. The event is co-sponsored by Friends of Florida Folk and by Manatee UU Fellowship in Bradenton.
This affordable learning and sharing opportunity is open to all and designed to encourage students of all ages to improve their performance skills and gain tips on creating original music. Early learners and intermediate players are welcome.
Students may select from classes in banjo, ukulele, dobro/slide guitar, fiddle, harmonica, mountain dulcimer and songwriting taught by local musicians Linda Pottberg, Ishmael Katz, Deborah Gilman, Joe Reina, James Hawkins, Lisa Siegfried Bohn, Norine Mungo and VGO.
To wrap-up the event, instructors will present a Saturday night concert at 7:00 that is open to the public for a small donation.
