The CTB has been dedicated to writing, and performing original music since the beginning. Their first recordings featured a number of fierce, foot stomping hard driving songs; that let you know Southern Rock is still alive and well! This includes favorites such as "Whatcha Gonna Do" and “All or Nothin'”. Their upcoming album “At It Again” features guest appearances by Barry Lee Harwood (Rossington Collins) and Monica Dedmon (backing vocals) along with their HIT single “Cyclone”!
The Curt Towne Band has made friends, and fans from around the world by performing their “All Original - Old School” brand of Southern Rock with Curt Towne on lead guitar, Barry Rapp (Henry Paul Band) on lead vocals and keys, Greg “GT” Thompson on bass guitar, and Mike "Thunderfoot" Cansler on drums and percussion, along with Mrs. Carol Bristow (.38 Special and Lynyrd Skynyrd) backing vocals.
Curt and the band have been privileged to share the stage, and support their friends in Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special, ZZ Top, The Outlaws, The Marshall Tucker Band, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Molly Hatchet, Hank Williams, Jr., Blackberry Smoke, Pat Travers, Montgomery Gentry, Cody Jinks, and Black Stone Cherry to name a few.
They continue to be a rising star in the new era of Southern Rock, while embracing the traditions of those great bands who blazed the trail before them.
