St. Pete Beach, FL -- Fall means it's time for Oktoberfest! First held in 1810 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, Oktoberfest has grown into the world’s largest beer and funfair celebration. Wherever it is now celebrated worldwide, there are common ingredients: lively music, Bavarian dancing, mouthwatering foods, and big, BIG pints of beer.
Now Paragon and the Sarasota Downtown Merchants Association are proud to bring an authentic Oktoberfest experience to Sarasota. In keeping with the historical traditions, you will be able to celebrate enjoying all the historical ‘norms’ of stuffing yourself silly with smoked sausages, roasted meats, sauerkraut, cabbage and both pretzels and beer while enjoying authentic live German music and dancers, all while enjoying the company of family, friends, co-workers and associates!
Join us for Oktoberfest on October 27-28, 2018 on S. Gulf Stream in downtown Sarasota. Festivities are Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 8pm. Admission is FREE (hence, more for German food and big BIG pints of beer!). Music is provided Saturday by the OktoberFest Band and Sunday by Alpine Doc & Fraulein Gretel. Dancers throughout the weekend’s festivities will be the Schuhplattler Gruppe Alpenrose out of Orlando. Also enjoy a stroll through a marketplace of arts, crafts and fine products.
