What do you get when you mix a tuba with a baboon? A tubaboon! Prepare to explore a wilderness where birds, beasts, vegetables and flowers have been mysteriously scrambled together to create creatures you’ve never seen before in Behold the Bold Umbrellaphant, based on the award-winning children’s book of the same name by poet Jack Prelutsky, with music composed by Lucas Richman. Known as the “Children’s Poet Laureate” Mr. Prelutsky is the pre-eminent author of silly poems for kids. This mash-up of inanimate objects with animals will have you giggling and trying to guess what comes next! A Treeful of Monkeys is composed by Daniel Dorff, and based on a traditional African Folk Tale about a hat seller who takes a nap under a tree and wakes up to discover that all the monkeys are wearing his hats! How will he get them back? Find out in this charming and fun piece.
